After 15 years of incredible experiences as a top model, Liis Windischmann brings her enthusiasm and zest for life to her many fashion shoots, appearances, interviews, lectures and projects promoting a positivity in which she urges the need for increased self-esteem levels, helping others appreciate the inner beauty in everyone while promoting the need to establish a new fashion and beauty consciousness.
Happily representing the majority of the population's female size as a successful model, Liis strives to promote the need for diversity in fashion by challenging the establishment to increase its usage of models who vary in age, size and ethnicity. Liis has many forms of media seeking her perspective on the fashion world, body image and self-esteem issues, and the pressing need for change in the manner beauty is described in the media.
She is part of a small group of models who have enjoyed success in every genre of the business in North America appearing in ad campaigns, editorials, posters, billboards and television commercials, rocking high profile catwalks, landing a coveted cover for Mode magazine, and numerous daytime variety and fashion TV appearances. Her image has appeared on packaging for such diverse products as bras, hosiery and breakfast cereal.
Thrilled to have worked with international clientele in diverse locations throughout Europe, Africa and the Caribbean as well as having lived and worked throughout North America, Liis' proudest accomplishments are the projects she created including The Fenomenal Calendar © 2007, the Walk the Catwalk project, and her lecture, Rethink How You Think! all of which directly challenge society's celebrity-dominated beauty standards by pointedly demonstrating that beauty can and does exist in all sizes. In 2006, Liis created a seminar How to Become a Model for The Learning Annex in which over 40 women of various ages and sizes learned the fundamentals of modelling. This seminar was deemed so successful Liis was approached to host a one hour, live studio audience version produced for Canadian Learning Television.
Her point of view has been featured in numerous radio interviews as well as on-camera for Entertainment Tonight Canada, Canada AM, In Fashion, Plastic Makes Perfect, The List, Changing Lives, The Gill Deacon Show, CTS On the Line, Hollywood's 10 Best, Open Mike with Mike Bullard, CBS News (Chicago), Global News (Toronto), Me-TV, Girl Talk, Bynon and Images Television. She has additionally been featured in articles appearing in print via Elle Canada, TV Guide, Lush, Canadian Living, Chatelaine, Flare, gardening life, The Toronto Star, The National Post and Toronto Sun.

Liis has starred in numerous print campaigns with leading Canadian retailers such as Laura Plus, Reitmans, Addition-Elle, Cotton Ginny, The Bay, Sears and Kellogg's Special K. Her American campaigns include such well known names such as Talbot's, Edie Bauer, CJ Banks and Catherine's. Always at ease in front of the camera, Liis has made modelling appearances on Fashion Television, Fashion File, Dini, BreakfastTelevision, Canada AM, Rogers Daytime, Canadian Living TV, CFTO by Design and is a regularly featured and popular model on leading daytime show CityLine's Fashion Fridays. Liis possesses a stellar runway presence and has participated in some of the industry's strongest publicity-generating events for Lane Bryant (New York), Richard Metzger (New York), and Brian Bailey (Toronto) as well as having been the only plus model to appear in Toronto's Fall 2007 L'Oreal Fashion Week.
Her editorial appearances keep Liis in the fashion forefront, gracing the pages of MODE, Woman's World, Figure, Wedding Bells, Lush, Real You, Canadian Living, Chatelaine, Homemaker's, Today's Bride and Clin d'oeil. A native of Toronto, Canada, Liis has enjoyed the experience of living in Chicago, New York and Miami while pursuing her modelling career. While in Toronto, Liis completed a year long study in The Improvisation Program as well as having the pleasure of studying stand-up comedy through The Second City, one of the world's leading improv education centres.
Liis possesses Level II Reiki as well as Reconnective Healing Levels 1 & 2 and believes in living a healthy, holistic lifestyle which involves and promotes the need for our society to stop obsessing about weight and instead be more concerned about the overall health of our spirit, learning to love ourselves mind, body and soul. Her experiences have instilled in her the need to continue to create projects that will raise the self-esteem of women, especially that of impressionable children and teens.
